It's Football Season / Stay True to Your Style While Supporting Your Team
It's that time of year again. Whether you are waiting for the regular NFL season to start, or you follow College football more closely, you certainly have to wear your team's colors on game day. If you're a true fan, that is. I honestly believe that if I don't wear Broncos-colored attire on game day that Denver is sure to lose. Same thing for Colorado State. But a lot of the time I am not really feeling a polo or a baseball cap, so I have found ways to be creative over the years in dressing for game day. Thankfully tons of boutiques around the country have followed suit, so you have options when shopping for spirit wear for game day!
Last year for the new stadium opening at Colorado State - where I attended and graduated from 8 years ago, I went as far as to make custom tank tops for myself because I wanted to look good but hated everything the CSU Bookstore was selling. That was a little intense, so I have been doing some pretty strong research since then. Hopefully I can help you out if you're in the same predicament I always find myself in! Here are some of the places I have found that sell College or NFL themed apparel - whether they sell nationally for everything or just locally (sorry if some of this is Colorado-focused - but actually it is hard to find stuff for C State and the Big 10 and SEC are mentioned a lot more below) for your specific team, they are great places to check.
I would buy one of these in the color of my team to wear on game day rather than looking for a specific one that applies to the team. Super cute with jeans or a front button skirt or even leggings if that is what you're feeling. I can't wear leggings seriously in public but hey, some people host watch parties and that is their thing.
They would probably make a lot more money if they would expand to more schools than A&M and Arkansas, and more colors than red white and blue... but if you fall in line with a generic color like that, or one of those two schools - you will LOVE LOVE LOVE their selection. I have family that attended / attends both A&M and Arkansas, so I guess I won't hate on it too hard.
LO + JO for the SUPERFAN - EVERY D1 COLLEGE I SWEAR!
Game Day Allure - Clothing By Team Color, Not Just Graphic Tees
I nice change up as they have women's game day apparel in more schools than JUST the SEC and Big 10. They throw in a little AAC.
I absolutely love the Pink Lily Boutique Game Day Collection for Women
This website actually has a ton of cute stuff for moms and even a few shirts for dads if your son plays football, so check it out :)
Other websites where I find cute game day apparel for women are listed below!
Kendra Scott - Your favorite jewelry in game day colors.
PINK by Victoria's Secret Game Day Collection - Each year they offer more schools and they have a really cute collection.
Target will have more locally than online, but some of their game day collection can be found on the website.
Twelve Saturdays is another boutique that is really preppy and has both dresses and tops that are not team themed but are in the right colors and they have some pretty team themed apparel.
Etsy has a ton of football themed shops and is also a great place to check out.
Or, you can do it like I did last year and contact a screen printer with a machine to do single screens and customize your own shirt! If you live in Fort Collins locally, I have found apparel for game day at Hey Day, Target, and Dick's Sporting Goods, but that is basically it.
Comment below if you have other game day boutiques for women that I should know and share about!
